2 posts in one day, can you tell I'm waiting for paint to dry?

Red, green and clean.
The engine in red oxide…
…the green coat being applied…
… and a clean half painted engine bay.
It’s all coming along quite well, the engine bay has taken at least one day longer than expected, and it’s still a work in progress. As long as it’s done by Tuesday, which is when the engine returns to it’ home.
Thankfully this is one time job (well is is on Jasmine anyway!

Engines, water and thieves
Nearly there….
As you can see, Jasmine has had her engine extracted, as I just watched, this was a fairly easy job for me.
My work starts tomorrow when operation ‘Clean-up engine bay’ begins. I’m not looking forward to it to say the least.
The good part about the work starting is the fact I can fill the water tank, water has been a precious commodity for me the last week.
And onto thieves. My scooter was stolen either Saturday night or Sunday night from next to the boat yard, I’m not happy.

One more day!
Tomorrow is the day Jasmine gets a her engine lifted out, I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time now. It’s been too many months of limping around with a smokey unreliable engine and me with oil stained hands!
All being well she should be back together and cruising again at the end of next week.

Saturdays, engines and walking
It’s been a really chilled out Saturday, no engine fixing to do!
”Really?” I hear you say, well thats because I’ve arranged to have Jasmines engine rebuilt by a professional, work should start next week sometime.
I guess I’ve thrown in the towel on doing the engine myself, mainly because I don’t want to spend the summer getting her to run right but also because I’d like to have the rest of the boat finished so I can have a late summer cruise in a nearly finished boat (they are never totally finished!)
And here’s some pictures of my daily walk into Uxbridge…

Denham, Diesel and Headtorches
I’m now in Denham, and I’ve gotta say, it’s lovely, which considering Jasmine has broken down again is a very good thing!
As luck would have it though, I’m next to Denham boat services, who have decades of experience with the BMC engine in my boat.
I had lovely walk into Uxbridge this morning, bright blue sky, and crunchy frosted grass underfoot
This is what most of the journey looked like, which is why I was happy to have my headtorch for the return in the dark!
