Freedom (again!)

After my short stint of working in the shady industry that is mobile phone recycling, I thought a short cruise was in order to clear my head of the retarded crap I've had to endure over the last four and a bit months.

Anyway, I'm done there and glad to gone and happy to be looking for work back in the 21st century.

Adios Facebook

I've deactivated my account, not because I'm unsociable (although that's usually true), but because I've found myself checking it 20 times a day through boredom which then leads to surfing the net aimlessly watching videos of cats being put in bins etc.

To combat the Facebook shaped hole in my life I will read some of the books I've been stockpiling.

So Steve 1, Facebook 0. It's a hollow victory as I'm sure Facebook didn't even know I'd beaten it, I'm sure it wasn't even trying.

Worst case scenario...

Well it almost happened last night, Jasmine nearly sunk.

All of the rain we had last night caused the water level to rise so much that water entered through one of the side vents. This was entirely my fault as my mooring ropes were tied too tightly, well too tightly for for the amount of rain we had. Lesson learned there I think!

Sorry there are no pics of my close shave, but I was busy bailing the boat out using the bottom half of my kitchen bin

I'm still in a bit of shock, as I was very close to losing everything I had. With any money I have tied up in the boat I really could have been left with just the clothes on my back, not a good position to be in when I don't even have a job at the moment!

Oh well, back to job hunting.
