Nearly time to move on

Greenford has been a nice change to Little Venice, very quiet and have hardly seen anyone. Sometimes this is just what I need and the past two weeks has been one of those times.

Goodbye Perivale, hello Greenford!

Perivale was nice, but i just couldn’t get my scooter near the boat, I checked out all of the local streets and there was nothing to chain it to (a 250cc twist and go scooter would be irresistible for some light fingered yoof) so on the move again!

Way out west..

Jasmine and I are on the move again and are in Perivale at the moment, I’m not exactly sure where as t was dark when I moored, I’ll have a look in the morning!

Here’s Jasmine going over the North Circular Road Aqueduct, As it was quiet on the canal I stopped and made a sandwich midway across the road. I must be one of the few people to prepare a bread based snack fifty feet above the A406.

Little Venice Again!

I’m back in Little Venice, which after nearly three weeks frozen in in Paddington basin is quite nice.

It’s been over a year since I was last here and I’m liking being West :London again, it’s closer to work for one thing!

Paddington, Blizzards and Batteries

 014

Well the snow is definitely here and I actually have a drift blocking the door!

  015

Thanks to the wind in Paddington Basin the snow is horizontal, which is nice.

It’s looking like I might be in the basin for a while, well until the canal thaws out, which is good and bad, good for the location but bad for running out of water and gas!

017

And as far as the batteries go, I seem to have hit the bullseye!
A nice little 10” TV that is so frugal I can power it all week on one charged leisure battery and have found a nice little windows laptop that runs for over 10hrs on a single charge!

Back in the centre

Jasmine and I are back in the centre of town, Paddington basin to be precise. It was pretty much a building site last time I was here, and it's its still not finished a year on, which gives me hope for the olympics...
